make sure first that you have a male & a female and then you will need to buy a nesting house for them..Usually it is a small wooden box that will fit in their cage..You can toss in like alittle straw(hay) for them to add to the house..you dont need to put the straw in the house just set it in the bottom of the cage and they will take it to the house themselves..they have a bird seed that will increase the ability to breed and that you can find at your local pet store..but not all birds need it since they really only require a place to lay the eggs and they can do the rest..
Now understand that their method of breeding looks more like a circus act and at no time will you see any type of penetration..
Their anatomy is just about the same so they put his (hole) so to speak up to hers while he is on her back and within seconds it is over..Her first eggs may not be any good so after she lays them if they have not hatched within 30 days remove the eggs from the house..The male will be sitting on the eggs equal time to the female during the process of waiting for them to hatch..I have cockateils and wanted to know where his penis was because I would see them doing the balancing act all the time but not once did I ever see him connect to her so I thought they were doing it wrong..after my friend was done laughing at me for asking where his penis was she sent me to a website that was able to show me the anatomy of the birds and explain to me exactly how they fertilized the eggs..good luck hope they have lots of babies..

I love birds and I have a parrot, so I'm going to give this question a try.
I think it helps to get a special cage for breeding. The cage has extra "doors" on it. Then, you have to decide what kinds of birds you want to breed. There are Finches, which can multiply once you start breeding! I think that's a pretty easy type of bird to breed. And of course, you have to make sure you are purchasing a male and female bird. You have to create a nest inside the cage for the female. And then you wait...and wish...and hope!
To be sure, you should check out a book at your local library, or you can go on line and start searching for knowledge and answers. A bird store can also help to get you started with the type of birds you want, cages, food, and knowledge, as well.
Birds are great! Good luck!

Hi there. First one must decide what kind of bird one desires and know that a pair will probably bond with each other rather than with you. A large cage and warm environment, the appropriate nest, nutrition, and access to a good avian vet really helps in case of emergencies. Learn as much as you can. Talk to other breeders. Go on line to different sites. Find books in your local library.Have a tweet year and good luck.

With the proper environment and diet most birds, providing there are both sexes present, will breed and raise their young in captivity. Different species have vastly different mating habits and rituals and some, such as cow birds and toucans have strange nesting habits that are hard to reproduce in captivity, but even these are being bred successfully.

Breeding birds is probable between the harder animals to reproduce. in many cases at the same time as 2 birds bond and start up breeding they draw back from human beings, so it would want to no longer be probable you'd be able to play with them. On proper of that, handfeeding is an artwork type if executed incorrectly can kill somewhat one in a unmarried incorrect flow. no longer to point that there are this variety of tremendous number of birds contained in the international being abused or neglected, or sitting in resuces in the present day that want homes because birds are frequently offered on impulse and human beings have not the faintest concept what they are getting themselves into. when you're doing this for the love of birds (and not in any respect finacially influenced) why no longer help with a community rescue crew on your area? Or help those who've lost their birds in getting reuntied with them? I wouldnt' recommend breeding birds to all of us who hasn't owned them for various years.

You could buy a female bird and a male bird. A female parakeet's cere is pink and a boy's is blue. Then I think that you put them together and just wait I guess. I hope this helps at least a little. Good luck!

The male bird has to take the female to the movies and the mall about 100 times and pretend he's having a good time, then buy her a bunch of fancy meals and beg and beg and beg and beg and beg. Then about as often as he wins the lottery he might get lucky enough to breed.

depends on the type but obviously you need a male and a female and they both have to be sexually mature. Then they need a "breeder box" attached to the side of the cage where they can nest and lay their eggs.
Search your type of bird on the internet for a more specific answer.

you grab 2 birds from the chicken section in supermarket, and you say mate, then months later a egg will come you, and that is going to be your new breed of birds
