My bf and I have been together for 3 weeks now, and I'm wondering what I could do for V-day. I'm 28 and he's 30 so we're not a couple of teens. Money for me is tight because I'm a single mom. My kids will be at their dad's place that evening, and over night the friday after. Any suggestions? It's too early in our relationship for "love" and anything too overboard. Please help it's been 8 years since I've dated and I'm not sure what to do. And yes we've been intimate already.

Take advantage of your night alone with him without the kids with a quiet evening in. Keep it simple and just enjoy each others company. Being tight on money would not be an issue...as he obviously knows your situation and probably doesn't expect to be bombarded with gifts or declarations of your love for him. Make a nice dinner together, candles, music that you both enjoy and perhaps a movie at home that may have some special meaning or enjoyment for you both. I know you don't want to go overboard as you say...but I would definitely do something above the norm of a night in since it is V Day and it sounds like you want to show him you really care about him. To be safe at least get or make him a card as I am sure he will give you some gift or token and it would be nice to return the favor. You can always do something creative like give him "coupons" for a back rub, home cooked dinner, car wash, free pass on your first argument, etc. Have fun with it!

Prepare a special meal at home. If you're not a gourmet cook; you can buy something from the restaurant and set it up. Get one rose or a few for the tables; candle light dinner; small individual cake - strawberry shortcake; wine or just apple cider if you're not a drinker. Get a romantic movie so you can watch it after the dinner - if you like popcorn get some.

Menu
2 piece of medium size steak $12-$15
Salad mix$3
Apple cider $3
French bread or dinner rolls $2
Strawberry shortcake from bakery (Wegmans or Wholefoods) $3.50-$3.75/a piece
Roses 1 to 6 stemmed $4-$8 (Shoppers)
Popcorn$3
Movie – free (you can borrow from the library some classic romantic movie)
Total: $40-$43

You can buy prepared food from Wegmans or Wholefoods. If you like crab cake; it's $10/a piece and get some other vegetables and desserts from there.

Have a Happy Valentine's Day, sweetie! xoxoxo

I like the home made dinner thing because it's a good time to get to know eachother better and it's nothing too serious or too intimate.

But I really think he needs to help in this planning. Does he have any ideas? Maybe he has something nice planned for the both of you! I wouldn't worry too much. Just let your feelings go and let things happen as they will.

this is jusrt as flyinghorse and others have reported. this is basically something this is overvalued interior the media...men paying for presents for women human beings. If something, Valentines day might want to be referred to as women human beings's day lol..THAT change into A funny tale! relax! yet heavily, no individual will imagine this is for men besides. and that i might want to desire something functional. Why supply romantic presents quicker or later of the year?

For guys it is all about our interests.

Here is what you do. Look at his interests. Then write down a list of 10 of his interests.

Then just to get the ball rolling on research type those interests into EBAY and see what comes up. You don't have to buy anything on Ebay just use it to get ideas.

What you are looking for is something that he doesn't know exists and/or he would never think of getting himself. BUT it needs to deal with one of his interests.

The great thing is it doesn't have to cost a lot because of the fact that it is something unusual and interesting that he would have never got on his own.

When you give it to him, make sure to write out a card that explains how you noticed his interest in WHATEVER IT IS and that you found this special thing and tell him why you feel it is special.

IT is not as easy as it seems to find the person REAL interests. Sometimes guys hide them a little but look at what he is interested in on TV and or when you are in stores.

What stores does he get excited to go to ? Better yet, what stores does he go into when he is not with you.

I was rebuilding a 1981 Jeep CJ-7 a few years ago and with my card she gave me a little box wrapped up. When I opened it up it was a Matchbox Jeep CJ-7 unopend and on the back it said JEEP CJ-7 1981.

She actuallly found a 1981 Jeep CJ-7 Matchbox car on ebay and bought it for me. I keep it on my desk. It was cool and very thought out. Simple but made me know she was thinking about me and took the time to find something. I think it cost less than $10 but was worth more than a $1000 gift that was not thought out.

GOOD LUCK

How about you guys get together for a casual Movie night? My husband and I do that all the time. We make dinner together and put on a movie. Its really fun, intimate and at the same time casual. Or instead of dinner you can just have movie with a bunch of Theater style junk food...popcorn, hershey's, soda...ect....

Since Valentine's Day is much more exciting when being "Surprised" AT HOME...not at fancy places** and Oooh..the "Intimate" part helps me a lot in giving U this suggestion! (*I hope U find it "Enjoyable" and "Memorable" =)

WHAT YOU NEED:
At Drugstores...they sale this "Love Coupons," BUY a packet(3$); BUY a couple of "Fake Rose Petals,"(5$..go to "Michael's") some Chocolates(5$...try "WaltMart"), and "Microwable Dinners" (*"SmartChoice" are always Delicious!* only 3$ each, too!)
OPTIONAL:
*Strawberries
*Whipped Cream
*Ice
*Blindfold

**Say..you'll spend about $20 bucks doing all this...not bad, hu?**

HOW TO PREPARE:
If you have candles..take them ALL out; if U don't..Use the LIGHTEST light in your home; Then set the Rose Petals on the ONE are you'd like to "SPEND VALENTINE'S DAY" at; (*ex: Living Room, Bedroom, Kitchen Table, Patio...etc;*) Also Set the candles..and try to put PINKS,REDS, or WHITES..just to set a "Mood"....**wink**...the chocolates U can either melt them in a Microwave or Stove, then Put them on top of Strawberries..or just MIX the WHOLE chocolate pieces with the Strawberries (*that's what I did! =) Then, when you have an hour left or less, UNTIL he comes...START THE "Microwable Dinners"...that'll take about 30minutes or so....WHEN HE comes in the door or in that ONE place..."BlindFold" him and sit him down...OPEN the book of "Coupons" (*OH before I forget READ THEM FIRST ON YOUR OWN...so that U will be PREPARED...**wink**) and allow him to "Choose" BLINDFOLDED, ONE PAGE ONLY, of the "Love Coupons"...then whatever it is DO IT for him...then set the "Dinners" with Lighted candles, as U eat, and afterwards tell him..."Are U ready For Dessert?"...grab a cup of Ice..."blinfold" him again..take his shirt off..and put whipped cream on top..an ICE CUBE on his mouth (*Taking it out every 5 seconds!*) AS U lick off the "Whipp" off him...then feed each other "CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRIES"..=) AND you know what will come "NEXT"..good luck...enjoy yourselves..and I hope U like my idea...IT was super sweet, romantic, and savoring in EVERY single way...if U know what I mean...*wink* =)

Sincerely,
**Ferrari Girl**

You should cook him dinner at home and have a nice slow vibe in the house. Make sure you make a sexy dessert for him and wear something extravagant, beautiful. Play some nice sexy music. Make him feel like he is your forever. Ya feel me. You should try it. I'm only 17 years old but its a try. I never tried it. Be yourself and have fun. Happy Valentine's Day.
