Sometimes its just cheaper to have it rebuilt. Allot of these junk yards will charge you a arm and a leg. Then you dont know if there even good but some junk yards have a month or so return policy. If you happen to live in WA state there are a couple of very inexpensive wrecking yards. Pull a Part and pick a part but you have to bring your own tools and pull it out yourself. Im sure other state's have junk yards like the one's I just mentioned you just have to look around.

ebay, try to find a shop that will rebuild it and warranty it for 3 years. It should cost around 12 to 15 hundred bucks but it will be worth it.

those model explorer had trouble with the tranny you better off spending extra bucks and have it rebuilt if you going to keep it cause a used one might go out right away

i own a repair shop,and i buy a lot from the salvage yards they get some good ones in once in a while from a wrecked vehicle,and usually are a lot cheaper than having one rebuilt,i have used a lot ,from salvage yards ,and haven't had any problems from any i have bought,good luck,i hope this help,s.

go to http://car-part.com/ they sell used auto parts, all you do is pick your state and what you need and it will find it. Check out the prices for your part. There shoud be a couple to choose from.
