I used to have oily skin and pimples almost on my entire life. I've tried almost any products, but I still have oily skin. So I switched everything to natural ( as much possible homemade products)

When it comes to soap, use the milder one ( I used soap made for babies). Aquanil or cetaphil is also good. Don' think that having an oily skin doesnt need a moisture. And dont wash your face more than 3 times a day. Then instead of expensive moisturizer, I use honey mixed with nivea cream. Thats for my morning routine. At night I dont used soap instead I use baking soda with water to scrub my face. Its good in killing bacteria that cause pimples. then apple cider vinegar as a toner. Just dab on a cotton. Then use the same moisturizer I mentioned above. For facial lines, I've heard that castor oil do wonders on that part. There's no harm in trying coz castor oil can promote eyelash growth and it is good on the eyes. And most important drink lots and lots of water, eat plenty of fruits and veggies. For more alternatives, you can browse the link below and search the "fountain of youth". You will get more information about your problem.

I have used many products in the past and what product I cannot live without is Principal Secret. They do not claim to be an acne line, but sometimes all you actually need is a good product to regulate your skin in the first place. Plus, you get a 60 day bottom of the jar guarantee. So, if you use it all up and decide you don't like it, you can return it for a refund...no questions asked. She has a club that you can interchange products, for example, want to try a different moisturizer? They will switch it. Can't lose. You can find it online or through QVC. On QVC you can't switch parts but you might find a good deal. She has the best moisturizer out there! Hands down. I have tried too many to count and the moisturizer in the Advanced line works all day and if you don't wash it off, till the next day.

okay first off here is what i do:

I wash my face at least twice a day with Neutragena's Rapid Clear Oil Control Face Cleanser (you can buy it at walmart). I have been using it for almost five years now and i love it! I also exfoliate my face once a week with a home-made brown sugar scrub. which is 1/4 cup brown sugar, 3 tablespoon milk and you just mix that together til it forms a paste and rub it on your face for about a minute and then rinse it with lukewarm water. I dont use a moisturizer everyday or anything like that because my face does break out more if i do and it tends to get more oily. i also dont use a toner either and i stick to my regimen instead of always switching it up and tryin new things. you cant do that to your skin because it will cause it to be irritated and break out more. but i hope this helps you out. i know it can be frustating because my skin used to be the same way until i found my face wash and i love it!! it really does help!

I can see there are many suggestions, some not to bad, other, it makes me shudder.
The simpler, the better, I tell my clients. If you're not able to visit a skin care salon, here is a solution.
Just get Neutrogena Skin Care Line. They now have a nice selection for various problems.
Avoid to much of Caffeine & Diary products. Add Vitamin-Beta Caratene (as directed) 25-35mg.zinc, and about 500mg.Vit.E.
Most important, be sure to wash face daily a.m. & p.m.
If you apply to many products on face, it can be over processed and end up giving even more problems.
Dont use Castor oil, it will cause white heads, for it clogges the pores. Any product with the ingredients of, waxes, mineral and lanolin, will clogg pores and end up with white heads that will need to be manual extracted.

Beauty Control, very similar to Mary Kay has a wonderful set of skin care for skin like ours. I've been using it for a couple of months and my skin is way better. I think it's 65.00 for the set. Comes with scrub, cleansing gel, moisturizer, and toner. They also have a good wrinkle serum for the eye area. Can't remember how much that cost me!

ok- I have a license in skin care and just found this site. no offense but all of this input doesn't make sense. why would someone suggest to not wash your face at night but instead SCRUB with baking soda? what does baking soda do? and St. Ives is the cheapest, worse stuff on the market. It has walnut shells in it that scratch your skin. That's what 3 bucks will buy you. Please go get a professional facial and let your therapist recommend your home care and explain to you what each item does!
