grand central is on park and 42. penn is 34 and 8th. you can take the shuttle or the 7 to times square the take the 1, 2, 3, A, C, or E, to 34th penn station.

Grand Central is on 42nd Street. The best way to get there from Penn is to take the A C E or 1 2 3 to 42nd Street/Times Square, and then the 7 or the S (Grand Central Shuttle) to Grand Central Terminal.

Penn Station is on 34th & 7th. Grand Central is 42nd & Park Avenue. The easiest way to get there is to take the N, R, W, 1, 2, or 3 train to Times Square and then transfer to the Shuttle (S).

there is a shuttle subway. best thing to do is ask one of the Amtrak or NJ Transit customer service reps for the directions to the subway line. I've done it but was with a group that know what they were doing and I just followed. Takes 10-15 minutes total
