My co worker gave me 2 tickets to the 76ers game, 4 rows from courtside. She refused to take any money. Should I buy a small gift as a thank you? What's the proper etiquette in this situation?

A Thank You card would suffice in this situation, I dont think your co-worker was expecting a gift no matter how big or small for giving you these tickets.
Perhaps, you could write in the Thank You card..........."I look forward to returning the favor".
Make sure you tell her how much you enjoyed the tickets.

buy her a gift card from her favorite restaurant or store and give it to her in a thank you card or take her o ut to lunch one day when your free and have enough monetary funds. Make it a spa day or something she'd be very happy and that was nice of her . My sister boss did the same thing for her last year with soem Rodeo tickets to see Frankie Beverly and Maze a oldschool R&B funk band . An she took her boss out for lunch and spa day on a Saturday in 2006

Yws you should thank her other than just saying so. Do not get in a hurry to buy something for her. Pay attention to her and learn some about her. She probably will have a birthday that you can also use or she might have something in her life that is needed and you can help her.
If she is a friend then friends help each other without asking for return. Also friends will return when needed. That is what makes it the best is when you receive then return in kind.

NO! it extremely is all interior the assumption! whether you basically mentioned & wanted everyone a Merry X-mas! distinctive people desire to do a number of issues. i'm specific you recognize this via your guy or woman kin. it extremely is the assumption, no longer evaluating the quantities. :) {hug} i for my area think of that when it contains co-workers (if it hasn't been an agreed apon call-drawing present replace component) you like no longer be hectic approximately having to return presents to those who gave. by way of fact those are the comparable people, I guess, that only love the giving area of the season & provide presents to toys for toddlers, and so on. & they do no longer seem to be searching for some thing back different than hoping to embellish somebody's holiday. the holiday taking part in cards have been large! Alot of individuals like to hold/tape their X-mas taking part in cards up during the season. My Grandma use to have me staple hers up around door frames, and so on. :) those are an invaluable theory. And bear in techniques, a heartfelt, heat greeting & smile has that comparable solid feeling, too! Take Care & satisfied holiday journeys!

Well you dont want to seem snobby for just accepting a gift and giving nothing back so give her a nice gift and just say the tickets she gave you is to nice to be passed by without a thank you. Then insist she takes the gift you give her.

As others have said, a little gift and card would be nice. It may assure you of additional tickets on occasion as well. Showing appreciation never hurts.

If she refused to be compensated for the tickets, then no don't get her a gift in return. She was giving you the gift, I hope you thanked her, let it go!

Well there is no right and wrong answer here! But honestly if i was the person who gave you the tickets and you did something in return i would be flattered and know that my being nice wasn't unnoticed! An idea would be like depending on how well you get along with them but take them out for lunch or coffee! Go out of your way for them! Like they did for you! I mean you don't have to but it defiantly doesn't hurt!

I think you should just do something thoughtful like give her a thank-you card or pick up an extra bagel and coffee some day. However, do keep her in mind when you may have the opportunity to return the favor.

Good seats, bad seats, it was a gift, and you are the person who knows how to show your appreciation.

Get something little and nice - perhaps something for the desk. Good manners are always a winner.
Don't forget the little "Thank you card".
