So this guy and I started texting alot during vacation and it was fun and flirtatious, but then after a while it stopped. Even though it stopped, he would still be REALLY flirtatious in class, hugging and saying all these sweet things. Even one day he said that he liked me, and that I was cute, but I just said jokingly "yea right you say that to all the ladies huh?" Even though I said that, i pretty much showed that I was interested in him by giving him hugs and texting him at times. But outside of class, we dont talk at ALL. we say hi and bye, but thats about it.
What is going on? Why is he not initiating the texts or calling me when he says he's going to?? And why do I always have to go talk to him first?
I wonder if he really likes me.

You can't expect him to read your mind, DO NOT play games, if you like him and want more then the two of you have make it known, or you will look back 5 years from now wishing you had

He is brutally shy.
He is probably thinking exactly the same thing and can't handle the thought of rejection so he is just waiting for you to initiate something every time.
I would bet that he is trying so hard to get the nerve to ask you out. Try breaking the ice and writing a text message on paper and handing it to him. Do this a couple of times and then give him more hints that what you really want is a text message of the heart and not on a phone....

the same thing happened to me and this girl one time, but we weren't all huggy. See, we became school friends. to be honest i have no idea how the relationship started, i forgot. but we were texting each other all the time. i liked her ONLY as a friend. but i was getting the feeling she liked me as more than a friend. i guess that's what killed the realtionship. i dont really know, but slowly we stopped talking. i barely ever talk to her. she sorta got annoying, and giving me these prank calls. but it sounds like the guy is more interested in u than u in him. so he probably got scolded by his parents for text messaging-- asumming they pay, or his workload got heavier. But here's the real truth: a relationship cant stay at smalltalk forever. uve got to advance it sometime. ppl get sick of each other. u shouldve done something other than texting, like ask him to help u study or work on a project, then to a movie or something... i dont know. easier said than done. good luck, but i have a feeling ur relationship is dead and not coming back

Sadly, some dudes are jerks.
He is just flirting with you for the heck of it, kinda like a game.
Don't show him anymore interest and he will eventually get the hint that you don't want to play without a commitment, and he'lll leave you alone.

He's either scared or confused. No confidence maybe?
It's time to get used to the idea of asking someone a direct question. He can answer or avoid. You then know what to do. The idea of a relationship is that there's communication. You don't know if you're in a relationship or not.

if i had a guess, he just likes to talk to u in that class cause he has nobpdy else. im not tryin to sound bad. the reason i say that is cause hes probably a super flirt, but doesnt actually want a relationship. it might be just a game, sorry. its guys like that that make it hard for the rest of us. hes not credit to our race if he is really like i think he is. good luck

two things. maybe he does likes you but afraid to tell you. you know if you want him or like i mean, you could tell him straighforward so that you won't be in this situation wherein you keep on wondring what the heck is goin on. or maybe he's just a teaser. you know, there are guys who loves doing that.

You teens would get seriously bored without IM and texting.

well, we men just SUCK at showing our feelings. especially if we have little experience. we usually wait for the girl to talk first. weve kinda come to expect it. he likes you. id say go for it.
Good Luck!
