Because God will surely keep you safe, right?

Of course if God gave you the body of a manatee, all bets are off.

What? Manatees are not attractive? There's nothing like a good sea cow.

While what you say may seem logical, or reasonable, think about this: Do YOU have a faith strong enough to permit you to do something which is considered unnatural by most people--visiting strangers at their own home, trying to convince them that what you are saying is true? Do you believe in ANYTHING that strongly? Or think of it this way: (and here I'm using an example relavent to us here in California) if you were convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that "the big one"--earthquake, that is--was going to hit, what would you do? Hide your head in the sand and hope it wouldn't happen? Or sit at home, going about your 'normal' life, waiting for it to happen? No, you would DO something about it, wouldn't you? You would make preparations, or possibly even move away, before the expected 'day.' But, wouldn't you also warn everyone you know, neighbors and relatives, trying to convince them that your belief--in the coming event--is true? Even in the face of apathy, disbelief, anger at your disturbing their life? Why? Because it's THAT important!
So it's not a question of being "kept safe", since MANY christians have given their lives for their belief, because part of their faith includes a belief in the resurrection. They even know, in advance, what people's reactions will be--not on a one-by-one basis, but overall; and they know they may suffer, as many have under totalitarian dictators. No, such people are working unselfishly, using their free time, and own money and possessions, in order to further their belief. Could you do that?
So, rather than criticize, try having a little more empathy.
Or were you just trying to be a smart-alec? If so, ignore what I said.

Are you so insecure about not being Christian that you must constantly lash out against Christianity itself? You should have no qualms with us Christians if you are not afraid of who you are. The only adversary you must face is yourself. Heal yourself first, then look for fault in others.

I had a pair of about 20 year olds show up when I was in college. Given where I lived at the time, it was a very stupid thing to do.

I think the point is we can use our brains to protect us

allready have that

often those who do not use what they have but pray for thier wants, are called imbicilles

but many religions advocate this, especially asking for wants and ignoring needs or what we do have, like common sense

First of all anyone in their right mind would not go door to door by themselves wether it be male or female. Why do you think Jesus sent them out by two's ?

this is so saddistic.
women are commanded to stay silent in the church, and yet it was mary that he First appeared to, which was the greatest testimony unto the fearful and unbelieving disciples back at the house.
