It is a good analogy, but unfortunately the deeper they dig the more violent they are becoming, we truly are vary close to a bloody, murderous, and violent clash between religions, and what is sad here, is it will be all in the name of God, and man considers himself to be civilized and intelligent, it is simply inevitable in my opinion.

This will be news to all of those preachers, evangelists andchurch members that are on tv, radio, and the internet and are doing well with them. It will be news to all of those professors, teachers, world leaders, parents, business owners, inventors, scientists, engineers, etc, etc, etc,.
I guess the point I am making is that some of the greatest leaders , educators, inventors of this world were and are relgious people. By saying that some of the very technology they helped development and use is limiting their faith is ridiculous and a little immature. As the world gets smaller with technology, religions of the world get a chance to get the tenets of their faith out to others, not the other way around. You want proof? Osama binladen . He has been using technology to keep his people informed and organized all along. Knowledge is just that, wisdom is another. Lets not confuse the two. As for religion weakening, from my own experience; christianity is growing and fast. Churches as gaining membership and sending more missionaries out thatn ever before. It would seem that you have either been listening to the wrong people or cannot see what is front of your face. Just last night on the news; it was reported that the largest voting block in America is the fundamental christians and that the people running for office were going to have to win them over to gain an office. Check your facts before making any statement, you might get your nose rubbed in it.

I would have to agree with you, just not completely. Religion is in fact weakening, and there are way more non-religious people out there than there used to be. And I do like the way it's going because I'm an atheist but I feel sorry for some of the people who can't live without religion.

i think you are wrong, i think the internet is disclosing false beliefs, we just need to learn the difference between fanatiscim and false theology. False theology must die and be buried, or there cannot be progression into a future utopia. That includes Jesus Muslims and christians alike to repent of what is Not true and rejoice in the Good things that are true.
At one time God has his chosen people destroy all the evils of the world, He himself destroyed an entire planet to save just one soul and he also destroyed an entire few cities inorder to keep the purge of the uncleen Nephelim from taking over his creation and this world which legally belongs to Him the creator.
True religion pure and undefiled is to take care of the widows and the fatherless. Not to steal tithes and offerings in the name of God when they know its not going to God himself or to those that are in need.
all religion will be gathered in sheeve and thrown into the fire if it is not built up to the kingdom of God. But i am not ONE to say which ones are false and which ones will grow their own gardens and give sacrifices and holy oblations. I just know I gave MY life consecrated to be a witness for jesus christ and desired to become the same kind of high priest and prophets that have existed to be the servents of God. But i failed and lost hope because the world does not follow the kingdom of God, they follow mammon and babylon, but still sing praises and lift their bibles high unto Jesus.

For the fundies, it is a great analogy. But that is typical. The Greeks were the first to figure out the world was round and even about how round it was. They managed to suppress that for a long time.

Actually, God wants us to advance technology, however, the problem is ppl have made science a religion. They think that science will end up solving our problems (at least, that's the attitude projected) however, it will never solve the problem of sin. Ppl need to realize that putting their faith in science will always be let down, bc theories are proven wrong and change, whereas God never changes. Science can't remove our sin, only Jesus can.

You know how when you tell a lie, and then someone questions you about it, you have to keep making the lie bigger until it finally collapses on itself. That's religion.

My question for you is- Do all atheists sit on their butt and obsess about christians like you or hasn't it been proven yet? You know what? maybe you are right but what do you want me to do disregard my religion just because you think we are wasting time? To hell with you! when bad things start happening to you in the near future know it's god telling you to shut up too.
