Seems to me there would be no edible plants after such a catastrophic global flood.

There obviously was. If you read a little earlier in Genisis youll find that Noah sent out a dove and it brought back a fresh olive leaf.

You sure would think so, wouldn't you? I mean, try submerging an African Violet for a week in salt water and see how it turns out. Now imagine 220-odd days of submersion. I don't see much vegetation thriving... That dove must have found one tough olive tree, to survive over 7 months under water. Or maybe god just miracled all the plants to magically live underwater for the duration of the flood. Makes you wonder why he didn't set up the same deal for the animals, it would have saved Noah a ton of trouble...

They were put in cryostasis for the cruise. Some of the chambers malfunctioned and the following creatures didn't make it:
Do Do Birds
Unicorns
Saber tooth Lions
Mastodons
Woolly Rhinoceros
Irish Elk
Giant Ground Sloths
and a bunch of big lizards

And they lived happily ever after, AMEN!
