Do you think highlights/streaks are ugly in peoples hair? I am just wondering. I had streaks for the summer. Now it is winter and I want to get rid of it. I have light/dark brown hair and i have like a lighter brown. I want to dye it. I need a new color. I am tan tho so do you know of any good dark shades?NOt too dark and certainly not black!

well, it depends on the color of highlights you get.

Don't go dark. Don't just dye it- trust me on this.
Get to the salon and let them all over color your hair a warm "rich' color and the "streaks" will still be lighter and look better. I love the reddish browns or golden browns, the highlights are really pretty and not "bold" that way.
You can also have LOW lights put in, which is darker streaks added to warm it up even more.
Get a fresh hair cut, sleeker for darker colors.
That way in the Summertime, the hairdresser is up to speed on your haircolor and make your look perfect for that time of year as well.

Your hair is beautiful the way it is, you dont need to die it, let natural beauty resolve this question, streaking your hair is fine! All the kids in my 5th grade class are streaking their hair RED. It's ok to streak, but not to die. When the die wears off, your hair will turn gray or white really quickly. Leave your hair alone!

depends on what there natural is. like if they had brown or black hair and got bleach blonde hightlights talk bout eeeeewwwwwh ugly! but highlights can also be flattering. i would try a a reddish brown or golden blonde

Well i dont think highlights are ugly but they are when they grow like so far out!! Try a ahborn color or a chesnut

I think that highlights look good on girls with very dark hair.

Highlights would most likley look horrible on you. My suggestion is just to shave off your hair. Your probably better without it.

Well it depend how it looks on certain ppl so u can maybe put like a caramel hazelnut colr thing

nooo not at all.....they only look ugly if u get them thick trust me...but then again everyone has a diffrent taste
