Generally a single dose of 140mg for every kilogram (2.2 lbs) of body weight is considered toxic.
The above posting of liver destruction is correct. If untreated, the tylenol can be fatal. And yes it is a very slow process.
The treatment is a drug called N-acetylcysteine. But it has to be started before the damage to the liver is too severe.

Ingestion of less than 12 g (24 normal strength) can lead to severe liver damage and possible death.
If you want to take a lethal dose of Tylenol remember that suicide is a final solution to a temporary problem. Seek help.

There really is not a lethal dose of Tylenol. In acute acetaminophen overdosage, dose-dependent, potentially fatal hepatic necrosis is the most serious adverse effect. Renal tubular necrosis, hypoglycemic coma and thrombocytopenia may also occur.

If you're looking for a way to kill yourself, please call your local suicide hot line.
If you're asking because you're afraid that you might have been prescribed an excess dosage, rest assured that your pharmacist actually reads these prescriptions and picks these things up.
If you're worried that it might accumulate in your tissues and build to a fatal amount, then you need to know that all meds have a specific "half life", the amount of time in which they stay in the body, and that that is what determines the timing of dosages.
You can find information, in plain language, about any med by going to www.webmd.com and scrolling down near the bottom of the page, to the "Drugs A - Z" link.
Oh, and you might want to brush up on your spelling.

I agree, there really isn't a lethal dose. However, there is a toxic dose. I've been told by my doctor and pharmacist that anything over 4 grams (4000mg) is toxic. I take narcotic pain pills with acetaminophen in them and I've been told to not take any more than 4 grams. It will damage your liver and make you very ill.

there is really no lethal dose of Tylenol for the average adult, however taking a LOT of Tylenol can make you ill to the point of vomiting, and not to mention the stomach problems you may develop

I could be wrong but I don't think there is a leathal dose in that if you take so much it will kill you. Instead it will destroy your liver and you will have a long, slow, painful death.
