ewww. I don't know. Why would they make you eat it? Doesn't sound good at all. But the ingredients is eucolyptus right? I wouldn't think that could hurt you.

Ask a doctor before use if you have:

Cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus)
Persistent or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, or emphysema
When using this product, do not:

Heat
Microwave
Add to hot water or any container where heating water. May cause splattering and result in burns.
Stop use and ask a doctor if:

Muscle aches and pains persist more than 7 days or come back
Cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or occurs with fever, rash, or persistent headache
These could be signs of a serious condition.

OO, I have to try that. I had a cat who went nuts for my peppermint foot lotion - if I didn't get my socks on quickly enough, he would lick it off!. Even so, he would sniff and sniff my feet. He also would keep coming to my mouth if I were sucking on a peppermint. Smelling the vicks won't hurt him - but don't get it too close so it won't irritate his nose. I'd love to see your kitty dancing!

My father ate it when he was young, too. He tried to make me eat it once when I was sick and I refused. I thought he was trying to kill me! Turns out a lot of people in that generation (my dad's in his late 50s) did it. I don't know what the rationale for eating it was, but he's still alive.

Must of been an old wives tale cure for something. Like warm syrup poured in the ear for an ear ache. Sounds like you had it worse then I did. Glad you survived.
