My sister's cat was peacefully asleep, and that's when it happened. suddenly, he started running all over the place, and when my sis tried to touch him, he meowed in a loud screeching tone. Then he started spitting p white vomit. He continued to growl and my sister just gave him some water- the thing is, will he drink it? I know he isn't dehidrated, he gets PLENTY of water a day. earlier he drank most of what was still in the bowl- and it's a BIG bowl. WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY BABY???!

He loves cupcakes, we give him then all the time, but he always goes on w/ his regular rutine. today he stole part of mine, and he was fine. i think he drank the water..... im not sure. i have to go check on him.

Bye!

Your sister's cat probably has rabies for some unknown reason.

If your cat hasn't settled by now, I'd be running her to the vet immediately. Even if she's stopped vomiting, it sounds to me like she's drinking all that water for a reason...they often do it when they are having kidney problems, which can happen after they have too many toxins to process...the accumulation of chocolate alone (considering you've been feeding it to her forever and her body has had to process it...and it is toxic to cats) could have caused a kidney failure (which can be reversed with appropriate vet care). Drinking excessive water is definitely the biggest symptom of kidney failure. Certainly sounds like it could be poisoning. Chocolate is toxic to cats...if you don't believe us, you can ask the vet or research it on the web. Unless your cat isn't really a cat, it is toxic to him. Just because it hasn't killed him yet, doesn't mean it's not harming him. There may have been something in the cupcake that was toxic to him, perhaps he got into some anti freeze or another toxic thing? Maybe an internal injury. Please get him to vet if he's not ok now. And keep us updated. Make sure you tell the vet about what you've been feeding him.
It could also be a reaction to his shots...you don't say how recently he got them.
Please be responsible and take your cat to the vet now...a simple and quick blood test will tell you whether or not his kidneys are failing.

Stop the cupcakes. Secondly, how old is the cat? Many times, they startle easily when they are going deaf. Most of the time, this affects the older cat, but does not necesarrily mean that a younger cat is going deaf. They feel vibration lots of times and if they are in a "dead" sleep and you awake them, especially if they are getting a little hard of hearing, it startles them more easily. You can try clapping, snapping, etc. when they are awake so it will not startle them so badly, but this could be the problem.

Sounds like poison, alot of cats lick the antifreeze on the floor in the garage and it can kill them. Get your cat to the vet immediately! Also, cats should not be eating human food. Even if he hasn't reacted to it, it's not good especially sugar and processed foods like that, they can have bad reactions, such as throwing up, diahrrea etc. You can really harm the cat if you continue. But please take it to the vet if it is vomiting alot, that is not normal.

first, no more cupcakes. the sugar is too much for a cat. then take it to the vet asap. if it isnt rabies then it got into something that poisoned it. try looking around the house to see if any cabinets are left open for it to get into. maybe rat poisoning or bug traps/poison are possible.

maybe the cat did not feel well ,if this keeps happening it needs to go to the vet.you shouldn't give him to much sugar just a few licks once in a while. some have a sweet tooth.if they drink alot it could have diabetes or kidney trouble. i gave my 20 yr old cat fluids under his skin for 3 yrs twice a week. he lived happy . it depend es how far its stages. it could be it had to much sugar and was thirsty from it. do go to a vet if it happens again, hopefully you have a good one . always carry in a case not in your arms. don't take risks with your pet.

If the vomit is white or clear, that can be one of the symptoms of panleukopenia, feline distemper. If such vomiting occurs a couple of times over the course of a day or night, a phone call to the vet is in order.

Sweets like cupcakes are not good for any animal. If the cupcakes are chol. it could kill him. Take him to the vet asap. You should also do research on what to feed a cat as well. Sorry but this is not good at all. I know he likes them but it is really a threat to his health. Go to the vet! Please.

It does sound like he got into something. Is there any antifreeze out? There are also certain plants taht he might have chewed on. If he is continuing on this path or even getting worse I would take him into the vet immediatley.
