Job went through some serious stuff in his life. Here's a man of furtune suffering a reversal for a LONG period of time. But the cool thing about that, Job never gave up his faith in God. That was the central point of the wager. (To see if during times of hardship, would he renounce God.) In todays society how many of us would fold under pressure?

Because it's an easy deal to make. If God controls everything, then He can control the Devil and make him do whatever He wants.

They get together and play poker with the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. The Devil cheats so he ends up winning, but god and Jesus are doing their best.

Its like a cosmic chess game. God knows his pawns have the streangth to defeat the devils pawns, so he always fights. And, if he didnt fight, than satan could win, and that would be bad.

Why does god make deals with the devil?
Little g denotes a demon so I would have to say;
"They are of the same ilk."

Too school Satan about who actually has the power. He is smart, but even he needs to be reminded sometimes that he has been and always will be subservient.
