He needs support and help from his friends and the college.I dont know your friend.There may be reasons why he failed.What about your friend getting tutoring if is not understanding the work.Maybe there are too many subjects.

Your friend is lazy, and doesnt really care about his future, right now.
I would say that he isnt a failure as much as he is a baby.
