-Have you ever fed any of your dogs these brands in the past? Yes. When I first got Maddie, I fed IAMS, as my vet recommended. - How did you learn about proper nutrition for your dogs? Maddie had horribly dry skin. She had tons of flakes and was always itching. The vet offered me no real answers except that "some dogs just have dryer skin than others." I started looking around online for causes and solutions to dry skin, and came across some info that dry, itchy skin could be caused by diet. In all honesty, I found this hard to believe. And besides, wasn't IAMS a good food? Believing everything commercials say is never a good idea, but even my vet said so (and at the time, I naively thought that vets actually knew about nutrition). Well, I had nothing to lose by just trying, so I switched foods (to Blue Buffalo) to see if it would do anything. Within a month or so, ALL of the flakes had disappeared (you literally couldn't find a single flake anywhere in her black fur), she stopped scratching herself constantly, and her skin was so healthy. I couldn't believe it. - Where did you hear about healthier dog foods? Online, although I was definitely a skeptic at first. But once switching foods completely cleared up Maddie's skin problems, I was more than convinced. Blindly trusting some website is one thing, but how could I not trust my own experience? I became really interested in dog nutrition and better foods. I went through Blue Buffalo, Taste of the Wild, Innova, Canidae ALS, and EVO (all great foods) before finally arriving at what I have been feeding for the last few years, Orijen. As I tried higher and higher quality foods, I just saw more and more positive changes in my dogs. - What brand do you feed now? Orijen, specifically the 6 Fish formula.

I think it is the Beneful commercial (Beneful is a Purina product).
IAMS/Eukanuba, Purina and other grocery store foods are low quality and don't offer much by way of nutrition for your dog (despite commercials). They contain way too many cheap filelrs 7 by products. It takes up to 3 times more af the low quality grain based foods as it does a good quality meat based food for a dog to receive proper nutrition.

I dont think it is either of those hun You might be thinking of the BeneFul comericial where hes talking to the dog and he says "you only think your getting spoiled" and then repeats "spoiled" and the dog tilts its head? maybe your thinking of that one
