well, i took this corny test and it said my "strongest" color was white - it did say other colors are involved, but, of course, they wanted money!!! LOL!!!
just thought i'd cheat and ask here!!

Your aura should not be white. It may be golden or yellow which is good. You need a special camera to take a photo of you with your aura and it is quite expensive. If you get a photo taken of your aura they usually read it for you so that you know what your aura looks like and why. Your aura can be many colors all depicting something for you.

When light strikes a surface different things happen. Some is always reflected - nothing is ever 100% black. Some is always absorbed - nothing is ever 100% white. Some specific wavelengths are absorbed by exciting atoms in the material. And sometimes light of one wavelength is absorbed and released at a different wavelength (fluorescence) or released later (phosphorescence) The material has these properties that give it a "colour" whether there is light there or not. So I guess you could simplify that by saying yes the material is red, gray - whatever whether its illuminated or not. However another way of looking at this is that our eyes perceive colour well in bright light using sensors called rods and cones, but in very dim light we rely on the "rods" which arent colour sensitive. So the colour is still there in a dark room but we just cant see it.

White is a color of purity. I know nothing about aura's.

No one's aura is white, if that's what you mean by your question. That is for enlightened beings such as Jesus.
If you mean wearing it for your aura's or because it loks good on you, then yes.

in my opinion, it's a bit colorless and boring.
black is the mixture of all colors, much better.
But I prefer purple.
