Is that why try to kill those who leave Islam or convert to another religion? For example-the afghan Christian convert-Abdul-Rahman?

Death for apostasy:
Sura 4:89 They long that ye should disbelieve even as they disbelieve, that ye may be upon a level (with them). So choose not friends from them till they forsake their homes in the way of Allah; if they turn back (to enmity) then take them and kill them wherever ye find them, and choose no friend nor helper from among them,”

Volume 9, Book 83, Number 17:
Narrated 'Abdullah:
Allah's Apostle said, "The blood of a Muslim who confesses that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that I am His Apostle, cannot be shed except in three cases: In Qisas for murder, a married person who commits illegal sexual intercourse and the one who reverts from Islam (apostate) and leaves the Muslims."

The Hadith above is from the Sahih Bukari.

Hey wedjb, I am not a christian and I not go to get into how much worse and more dangerous Islam is than Christianity. But, you've completely evaded the question. Instead you've just pointed out atrocities in the Bible as if that somehow nullifies the inhumane things the Quran teaches. You have the Muslim vs. Infidel mentality that is manifested in every muslim, so you're blindsighted by tragedies of war and pretend like the muslims are ALWAYS right. This war was started when Muhammad ordered his followers to "fight the DISBELIEVERS until they pay the Jizya" instead of fight those who do not believe in FREEDOM. You have completely disregarded the sickening inhumane act of killing people who leave Islam.

Let me restate the first part of that verse "Except those who join a group, between you and whom there is a treaty (of peace) or those who approach you with their breasts restraining from fighting you as well as fighting their own people ". Muhammad was a military genius, of course is going let an apostate go if he gets the **chance** to join another group. He wouldn't want to invoke a war against one of the more powerful tribes like the Pagan Aws; Islam would have been obliterated. In actuality Islam was peaceful whenever it first started because IT WAS DEPENDENT ON THE MERCY OF OTHER TRIBES; as islam gained more political power it became more and more bloodthirsty. The death sentence for leaving Islam still stands for the person who isn't lucky enough to escape it. Islamic countries like saudi arabia, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, etc...carry out executions for apostasy.

Recently, there was an attempt to execute an afghan citizen, Abdul-Rahman for converting to Christianity. Had it not been for international efforts to save him he would have been executed. "No predominantly Muslim country publicly called for Abdul Rahman to be spared in the name of religious tolerance during the trial."

Had Allâh willed, indeed He would have given them power over you, and they would have fought you. So if they withdraw from you, and fight not against you, and offer you peace, then Allâh has opened no way for you against them.

and I think it speaks for itself.

as for the Hadeeth do you mind giving a reference where did you get it from because what I was taught is the third case is the one who try to spread evil in the land?

if you can understand the translation the YOU in the above quotation is essential in understanding that they come to the MUSLIMS and they don't want to fight. If what you are saying is true it should have taught us to KILL them but bad for you it did not

So may I suggest that you go and find another verse and chop it off like what you did with this one.

there are no secrets in Islam, so what's the point! Koran is clear that no human shall be killed unless he himself is an aggressive killer. Sunni and Shea are more Jews than Muslims. Koran is pure and fair. ibn barzawaih albukhari is a hanbalist liar. war in Islam is only in self defense. you should read the whole Koran not just a little part.

i agree that Sunni traditions, in killing people who leave Islam or fighting infidels just like that, are evil. but true Islam is not like that even if most Muslims didn't understand for most people do not use their minds as the Koran said.

we believe the same way the christians and jews believe in their religion. that we are the right religion. i am not afraid at all for any one revealing the TRUTH about our religion. i guess you could look at the bible as well as the torah where it states the prophet moses peace be upon him commited murder because a man began to work on the day of the sabbath. seems just like what you are stating here. in islam we believe that none has the right to be worshipped but allah and muhammud is a prophet. that is the first pillar of islam. there are many people who convert to christianity because they do not know the religion. and i would have to agree as a muslim there are many people who give the religion a bad name. i can see how this causes people to think ill of the religion. but i must say there are similar quotes in the bible. chrstians for centeries have murdered ruthlessly because people are simply "heritics" the bible states to murder homo sexuals, to murder a woman who has been unfaithful to her husband, the same thing the quran talks about. jesus is famous for saing if someone hurts you turn the other cheek our prohet is famous for saying if some one hits you offer the other cheek. if you want to speak about muslims by generalizing i would say that is great ignorance. christians and jews right now are going and killing muslims just for simply being muslims. even here in america look at the patriot act. guantamano bay the iraqi prison photos splattered all over the news. there is no shying away claiming it was not christians who are doing these acts of torture. christians invaded a muslim country who had nothing to do with 9/11 lied to their people claimed they are terrorists which later is proven to not be true and is now stealing 20 million dollars on hour 24/7 for over three years straight sucking the oil reserves dry. americans have dropped du dust in bombs (depleated uranium) which can never be cleaned up off the land and causes severe health defects. what is the excuse for this???? this country has a so called christian government correct so why is it that the quran tells us to not take friends among the unbelievers????? would you want to be friends with a muslim if france invaded a muslim country bombed them (which by the way they did if you look at arabic history) only for them to come into america and start bombing you and your family????? would you want to trust them???? i do not believe you would for a minute. the majority of muslims world wide have done nothing to america or the west. in fact there are pure blood arab jews and christians living in muslim contries since the dawn of islam and muslims have not murdered them. there is a difference between friend ship and aquaintences. i am sure you are intellgent enough to distinguish the difference. islam commands us to live in peace among people of all faiths but it does not tell us to lay down and except theivery. it does not tell muslims to sit down and allow any one to invade their country and commit mass murder with atomic weapons with out a fight. i am not saying that 9/11 is right. i am a white muslim woman born here in america. there were several muslim people working in the wtc thay day. . if all muslims are terrorists why were those muslims killed? i suggest you do some research and understand why islam and the western world tends to clash. the western world has proven over the years that it does NOT have good intent for the welfare of muslims and has no reguard for the human rights and or lived of muslims. so please do not be ignorant and look out side the box. do unto others as you would want done unto you! good luck
