I know, it can be confusing because there are so many opinions and ideas, plus there are so many so-called gods. If you believe in the God of the Holy Bible then you go by what it says, such as Romans 16:25, 26, which calls God "everlasting," or "eternal." If you stop and think about it, the idea of someone being without beginning or end is not an easy concept to grasp by someone who is finite--humans, us.
Also, there is the confusion added by those trinitarians who long ago decided to elevate Jesus from godhood to God, twisting scriptures and adding others to make their doctrine seem true.
Then there are the so-called gods: Buddha, the millions of Hindu gods, the forces of nature or objects venerated by animists, etc. And then there are all the mythological gods: Odin, Mars, Venus, Thor, and so on. It CAN get quite confusing.
From my own personal study of the Bible--ongoing since the 1950's--I am convinced that what is said within its pages are true. So I agree with the statement of Joshua--Moses' successor--given in a farewell speech before he died: choose for yourself who you will serve, but me and my household will serve God.

God says in the final revelation Qur' an:
112:1 SAY: "He is the One God:
112:2 "God the Eternal, the Uncaused Cause of All Being.
112:3 "He begets not, and neither is He begotten;
112:4 "and there is nothing that could be compared with Him.
Similar in the Bible:
Deuteronomy 6:4
Mark 12:29
More on the final revelation (Qur' an), God says:
2:255 GOD - there is no deity save Him, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsistent Fount of All Being. Neither slumber overtakes Him, nor sleep. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth. Who is there that could intercede with Him, unless it be by His leave? He knows all that lies open before men and all that is hidden from them, whereas they cannot attain to aught of His knowledge save that which He wills [them to attain]. His eternal power overspreads the heavens and the earth, and their upholding wearies Him not. And he alone is truly exalted, tremendous.

God was not born or created. Because he is infinite (as described in the Bible and the Qu'ran), he has neither a beginning nor an end.

No religion that i have read about answers that question. The babble about he is, he always was, he will always be blah, blah,blah. Sick of researching these areas of study. They are all poorly translated and sound absurd. Or, maybe it is just me. I understand physics but I don't know why 90% of the verbage exists. God may have made himself, that is what I get out of their verbage. But he always was so he didn't have to make himself. Wow.

he has always been there. I know that is really hard to wrap our brains around because everything we have known was created at some point in time but he was always there and he will always be forever and ever.
