i am on the track team and there is a girl that i like, how do i ask her out when we don't even know each other and she is a senor so i need to hurry up because she is only in school for like half a year

Well start talking to her about track, ask her for some advice... Stuff like that.
progress your conversation into future goals, what does she want to do? What does she want to become???
Get to know her, like she would be a friend... Not your girl.. Dont be nervous... just strike up a casual conversation with her..
Watch her body language.. Does she smile alot when she talks to you. Does she look you in the eyes?? Does she seem annoyed?? these are all cues to if she would seem interested..
If she isnt, then tough luck cut your ties there.. move on the to the hot cheerleader... HA HA HA, but if she is.. then go from there.. ask her if she would want to go to starbucks later, (bring some of your friends and hers) Say "hey me and some friends are going to hit up starbucks... Wanna come... You can bring who ever you like?"
The best part is if she shows up alone.. then you know she might want something more..

anyway, i would do it while running. sounds stupid, but its actually adorable.
just say something while running like "hey, what are you doing friday night?"
