If his temperature hasn't broken in over 24 hours, or has been yoyo-ing, then you need to take him to an emergency care place or take him into his doctor. A persistent high fever(anything over 101 degrees) needs to be looked at. His body is fighting some kind of infection, so take him in to make sure it isn't an ear infection...even if he isn't pulling on his ears. Oh, and, as I'm sure you already know, keep him hydrated! Good luck!

I would take him to the ER. That is a very high temperature. Also, most doctors will tell you that you can alternate calpol and ibuprofen in order to bring down a feaver. In addition, make sure to use cool baths, popsicles and lots of fluids. Good luck!

He needs to go to the hospital. They may have to admit him and run some tests. What did he bang his head on ? How hard did he hit? If he is throwing up then there is a serious problem. He might have a concusion. Don't worry I have a son. He has fallen so much. I was told that boys get hurt more than girls

Call yor pediatricians office and ask again, tylenol should atleast bring it down temporarily so there might be something more than a fever here or maybe not, but you need to make sure. If you can't get a responce or they just don't think its a big deal, take him to the er.

my niece ran a 102 temp for almost 4 days straight and it was just a viral infection. My sister took her to the ER and they said there was nothing they could do, just to give her motrin until the fever was gone.
If you already took him to the doctor, then there is a good chance that could be all it is.

Definitely take him to an emergency room. It could just be an icky bug or something, but you're better off not taking chances. And whatever you do, do NOT give him aspirin - this could cause Reyes' syndrome.
Good luck!

Take him to the ER NOW. You do not mess with a temp that high!

what l would do is get your son dressed and take him in to the nearest emergency room and have someone look at him cause you have to get his temperature down. there is also advil for kids and this works fast also. try doing this.
