Yes, zinc ointment is good for skin. I am not sure about taking zinc internally in capsule form. Check out:

I found this site when I googled "zinc".

It is very important to drink water to flush the system. Then you will be eliminating the cause of the acne rather than looking for a cure.

The problem of acne is usually more internal than external. Drink fresh vegetable juice with leafy greens mixed with carrots and apple to sweeten. Fresh fruits are good. Make smoothies. Lots of vitamin C in fruit. Vitamin C is great for the skin.

Bed by 10 makes a difference also. Avoid eating after 9 pm. The food does not digest well and tends to create toxins which can result in acne. Remember, outer is based on inner.

Yes and No. Zinc itself wont clear it up...but pure zinc wont CAUSE acne which is why it is good to use as a sunscreen...the best ive found is from epicuren.com...but if you want some great facial products, check out completerelaxation.usana.com, the product line is called Sense by Usana Health Sciences and has a patent-preserving technology...so no extra crap! and if you go to the website, under "contact" you can get the product at wholesale if you mention it

Zinc and Vitamin B5 work for acne. You have to give it a good solid month to see results. Just take the recommended dose of the Zinc and take double the dose of the Vitamin B5 .

Yes I have heard of this too, although I asked a pharmacist once about it and they gave me a funny look and dismissed the idea. Its hard to say.. I even looked for a Zinc supplement, while I was at the drug store.. and couldn't find one. I would be cautious about putting Zinc into the body though... to much of a supplement can be harmful.

yes it does work. i know because i use it. you need to use the chelate form because it is better absorbed by your body. zinc helps reduce inflammation and bacteria and you should take 30 to 60mg a day to help reduce acne. take before bed or with food because sometimes if you take too much it can upset your stomach a little bit. also try b5. good luck1

well, zinc helps build your immune system, so it would help you fight off acne before it starts. But it is not a cure all. It will definitely help though.
