Is the dog attached to an owner? If so, you could put a sign up. Something like, "This lawn is nowhere to do your business" I just saw that sign last week.
This has become a really big problem where I live. In the paper the other day, one homeowner picked up after a dog that had pooped on his lawn, chased after the owner, and handed over "the goods".
If the dog isn't attached to a human, could you put up a little fence?

Other peoples dogs or your dogs? Others I would just put a sign out saying please keep dogs off. Just dont do something dumb like putting out poison to keep them away. If you know the people whose dogs are on your lawn talk to them. If they are yor dogs, good luck, its better to have pee and poo on the lawn than in the house.

Since dogs can't read "KEEP OUT!" signs, I think you might have to put a fence around your yard.
