Each person's reply will be different. It's a matter of conscience. God knows your heart and don't you figure he knows whats in your pocketbook as well. He is concerned about everything pertaining to you, the air you breathe, your opinions on family relationships, and he understands all of your needs. He supplies them.
Donations to the church are a discipline of the believer to sustain the "house" God has provided for him, or her, to learn and worship in. If a believer has applied themselves to study, they will have learned what God expects of them and respond accordingly. There are some who give meticulously to the penny and continue going their own way doing things unworthy of our Lord and also those who aren't careful at all but have a true heart. When it's all said and done, it's God who really knows each individual's heart and ability to share their finances with the church.
If you ever could come up with some amount to answer your question, it would never meet the demand. Every church I've ever been a part of gave out more than they took in and depended on armies of volunteers to finish the needed tasks when the funds ran out. The fields are ripe unto harvest and the workers are few. Get the drift? How about you?
The easiest way to figure it is the 10% and anything more you can share is a special blessing.
You know, God doesn't make anyone do anything. He won't force anyone to serve him. It's all got to be your own personal desire. It gets down to your own individual personal gut level. His work will never depend on you individually, but it does give you an opportunity to offer thanks to him, share in the responsibility of supporting the church and give you a sense of being a dutiful child. In the beginning and end, it all really belongs to him. We only use it for a short time. He just watches to see what we do with what He's given us.

they claim at least 10% of your income.. but that is NOT what tithing is all about. No where in the New Testament does Jesus tell us that we have to pay 10%. He just spoke on the widow who gave all she had at the time, which was two mites... while the rich gave a little, or what the Old Testament stated to give. You give from the heart!!!

Tithing was NOT giving money any way. IT was the first born of the herds that was clean and not tarnished. Or 10% of their harvest crop. NOT MONEY!!!!!

That is why I don't give 10% to a given church.. I give to orgaizations as charity... and I know it will be going to help others NOT line the pocket of the famly run church business, as most of them have turned into being these days.

In giving the first born of the herds or the first of their crops, this would NOT just go to the head of the church there, but it would be used to help everyone in the community during times of despair.

People better start studying scripture for yourself instead of going on what that man/woman says on that pulpit to you. Not all claiming Lord, Lord will enter heaven... that part includes those that claim to teach and preach the Word of God.

To those that said "supposed to" you have yet read for your self on that one. Shame on you!!!

That depends. I see poor people that give $100.00 per week and very rich people that give $5.00 per week. The "amount" is not important....it's how the gift is given. If it is proper and from the heart and is truly all they can afford, then God honors that.

See the story of the Widow's Mite in Holy Scripture.

it particularly is an extremely very own question and one that i think of is out of line. every person isn't meant to evaluate and teach off how lots they provide. additionally, every person on right here might desire to lie approximately that to attempt to make themselves look solid. for my area, i've got not got funds to offer to every person, i will barley make ends meet for my family contributors. My spouse's college and my ministry efforts are the only motives I even have not dropped the information superhighway. i do no longer supply something fabric to any church. I supply my time and attempt to God and attempt to dedicate myself to spreading His reality to any who will hear or are in seek of practise.

Depends on belief and income. It is supposed to be 10% of your weekly pay before taxes, because we should offer to God first. But I know people who put in a dollar or nothing. It is meant to be given out of respect and acknowledgement that you would have nothing without God. All that you have is yours because He gave it to you. So indiviually we go from there.

Depends with what motive you give...

God loves a giving heart, and you can be assured that he will return the favor.
