Well I found this cute yet mysterious symbol written on my board outside of my college dorm.

It looks like a half jewish star interrupted by a heart. I'm not jewish by the way.

To better explain it, the symbol is a heart overlapping an equalateral triangle, with the point straight up and the base at the bottom.

Any ideas?

I have no clue who did it.

Perhaps you're speaking of the 'heartagram' the mix of a pentagram and a heart symbol, often employed by the band HIM.

is the heart in a triangle? - your description still isn't very clear.

Could it be a variation of the Star of David with the upside down triangle replaced with a heart?

or as the answer above suggests - check this out - on the left side the logo is embedded - Finnish band HIM
