I took tributalin due to preterm labor. When he was born he had two apneic episodes and difficulties with feedings. Now he is fine though but I saw something on t.v that this medicine can cause later heart problems in children is this true???

you must mean terbutaline. this is used to treat pre-term labour. there are no known side effects on foetus after prolonged treatment. any ailment your child has developed after delivery should be coincidental and unrelated to terbutaline. all known side effects of prolonged terbutaline use are temporary and found only in mother. you must take a paediatrician's opinion for your child's current problems. good luck.
