2 yr old want to stand up like a boy and pee..?

my daughter is 2 1/2. she goes to daycare. Last night before she went to bed, she went potty. She stood in front of the toilet saying " i want to pee like this mom" and she was standing up like boys do. i asked her who does that and she say a little boys name at daycare. i'm a single mom so she don't see no boys pee at home. I asked the daycare this morning without telling them who she seen. and they told me who she seen. They said when they got her up from nap time she seen him. Its a home daycare. so they all share 1 bathroom. the kids are suppose to wait around the corner til the other one is finished. They said not to make a big deal about it. i think they should be supervising while the kids are using the restroom. Especially since they share. The ages at this daycare are from 0-5. What do you think?

i think you are over reacting big time! it's apparent they were supervising efficiently if they could tell you who your daughter saw (not seen) peeing! I wouldn't make a big deal of it either! have you never ever in your entire life accidently walked in on anyone in the bathroom before? i would allow you daughter to try the standing up method. she will realize on her own that it only amounts to a mess she must clean up and she must not be equipt for that job. explain to her, boys have penis, girls have vaginas. get over it! pick your battles and this isn't a huge one!
