Of course you can't! What is it about "Married Filing Jointly" that applies to a single person?

If you want to file a joint return that badly, get married! (Though I don't think I could think of a worse reason to decide to get married.)

No. You can only file a joint return if you're married, not just because you live together.

In some states, common-law marriage is in effect. Since you state that you do NOT plan to be married right now or anytime soon, those laws would not apply to you even if they're in effect in your state - common-law marriage requires more than just living together.
