If your God is a loving and caring God, if your God seeks above all else for humans to be kind, caring, thoughtful toward each other, if your God is interested in each person on earth leading a good and morale life ...

Then wouldn't judgement be based on what kind of life is led, rather than what beliefs are held?

Do you believe that persons not believing in your God go to hell?

I understand your reasoning. It does make you wonder why a man can rape and kill little kids for years, but so long as right before he dies he asks for forgiveness and he gets into Heaven; but, I could lead a moral and upstanding life, never hurting another purposely and perhaps committing my life to saving Ethiopian children, but since I don't believe in God, I will perish in Hell (according to the Christian religion).

The problem with being judged on the kind of life that you led is, even though you may have done some truly kind and wonderful things you still were not perfect. No human being can be perfect, all the time. Also, just the fact that you were born into a sin nature, means that you could not stand innocent before a perfect God. For sure God loves you. Yes, He is kind and loving and that is why He provided a way for imperfect man to reach Him through His Son Jesus. According to the Christian faith, one must accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord to obtain Heaven. I did not make the rules, it was determined by God.

There's no specific verses around "suicide".. there are scriptures about murder/taking a life. What we DO know is that someone who kills themselves, for the most part, isn't of sound mind. Somethings gone terribly awry. How can you "honor your body" when your mind isn't functioing properly? God is compassionate, and all knowing. He knows what was going on that caused such a terrible snap to occur within their minds, to think their OWN lives weren't worth living. You can't hold someone accountable, for actions they make when they are not of sound mind.. like someone who is diagnosed with a mental illness. If they confessed the Lord, he is faithful and just to cleanse them from all unrighteousness/sin. This of course only applies if they were at ANY point able to make a confession of faith. If they were of sound mind and didn't accept the Lord, they won't be in heaven, sadly. Take care! Dude, there's NO scripture. If you READ the Bible, you will see that God is a LOVING, Caring Father... and I am sure you know the verses around killing or murder. Use some discernment, and you'll figure it out.

I see that one guy said, "Not my words, His". I get this answer a lot when I ask this question of fundamentalists. They say, "I'm not the one saying that. God is."

What kind of a God would ignore the prayers of millions of His creatures; every Jew, every Buddhist, every Hindu, every Catholic, every person who does not believe in Talking Serpent Science. Yet that is what these dimwits believe; that any person who rejects talking serpent science and believes that evolution occurred is an atheist, and that God ignores their prayers and will allow them to suffer in Hell for all eternity.

It's difficult for me to believe that any person could actually believe that God would do that, or why anyone would worship a God who did.

It's absurd to think that any loving God would do that.

Answer Flop
there is a loop-hole
it is found in the book of Romans
but you have to have been innocent . . . having no knowledge of Jesus or such . . . very few Americans fit into that loop hole

Better Question: If a guy who preached Jesus to you also couldn't keep his perverted hands off you, would you be expected to understand that he was the problem (not Jesus) and and IF YOU REJECTED Jesus because of this abuse, would you be excused.

Answer: I don't know: it is not in my job description to know that but I trust that God would do the right thing.

That would make sense. Christianity is only one among many religions, and many religions don't have a concept of hell. The most you can do as an honest individual is pursue the path that makes the most sense to you.

The difficult part about existence is living, not believing.

Any moron can believe anything you spoon feed him. It takes real strength and character to live a good life.

If god only needs someone to believe in him, then the suffering and pain of this existence is utterly pointless.

Hell is only a figuration to encourage people to do good, stay on the right path so to say. Those who are spiritually inclined believe it is real. I being spiritually inclined believe it is real. I being spiritually inclined don't waste my time on such bibble-babble and neither should you. As for your question I do not have the power to answer that. Now good day to you.

Lets say that your a barber and a guy comes in talking about God.
Then you say, "if your God is a loving, caring, thoughtful God, then why does he make people go to Hell."
then the guy saw another guy walking by with long, uncombed hair and he said "why do you let people that have long, uncombed hair that want a hair cut keep long, uncombed hair?"
"Thats because they have to come to me for me to cut their hair."
"well, people have to come to my God for them to go to Heaven. If they dont come to him, then they go to Hell."

I dont know if this will help you any.
