If you owned the car, I'd try to help you, but technically, you're trying to junk a car that is owned by someone else, namely the lienholder.

Why don't you call the lienholder and explain the situation to them and see if they'll help you sell the car to a salvage yard so the proceeds can go toward the amount of the lien.

check with you local auto wrecker, but if it has a lien this is a claim the needs to be paid or else let the lien holder take the car in payment.

In my state, TN, you could scrap a vehicle without the identify if that's 10 years or older. on your case, in case you scrapped that vehicle it may be considered robbery. you do no longer very own it. The finance employer does. in case you prefer it long gone, call them up and tell them to come again repossess it.

You'll have to pay the lien first, otherwise no junkyard will accept your vehicle.
