Towards anywho who didn't study that question, it could look like you are suggesting we are so very different from you. I think you are human, that you are a man named Mathew. And that you have a question about me, thinking of what I think of you. Your an Atheist I will presume...so that means you don't believe in God. Or really anything for that matter (as far as spiritual goes anyway. Or so I assume.) So, correct me if I am wrong, but you are still human arent you? Yep, thats what I thought. Well, if you are human, then God literally COMMANDS me to love you. And that's just what I intend to do. Sure your different, you don't believe in God. You may even tend to insult me because I believe in something so "fairtytaleish" as God. All this is to say, I truly think you are a potential friend to be gained, and someone's question I am answering :-). But honestly, as far as spiritual goes, I believe you are completely and totally wrong. But that wont stop me from loving you and befriending you. My God, literally gave his life for his beliefs. (even if you believe he wasnt God, you cant deny that Christ lived.) Even if Christ was just a man, he was a man who was willing to give up everything for his beliefs. He could have simply denied them and lived, but he chose not to. And consider this, "simple people like you and me, would not have spoken lies, to get inrolled in history books as martyers for Jesus Christ." Paul was beheaded for Christ, Mathew, James, John...all of them killed, boiled in oil, crusified. They died the worst deaths possible, 2000 years ago, because of one man. Honestly, that is enough proof right there for me to know Christ was special. But that is beside the point. You don't believe my true love exists, but that doesn't mean I hate you, dislike you, even disrespect you, because of it. To many times many people blame us Christians for hating you, but I dont. You share a different point of view, and as much as I am literally scared of you and your kind. It doesnt mean I wont stand up for what I believe.
In short, you have your beliefs, and I have mine. Don't be fooled by some who tell you we are all bible thumping nuts who don't have hearts and would kill for Christ. Were not :-) honest, we don't even bite...except on ocasion. *wink* Anyway, have a great night, and I hope I answered your question....If I didn't, hey, I tried.

Do you guys fly? Are there wings under your coat? Is it true you never need to sleep? Other than that I figure your pretty much just like everybody else.
Personally-I think many in the Christian camp are deceived. The Bible bears this out. So my fear is those who claim to be saved are in the most fearful spot as they think they have their sin forgiven and don't where as anyone who denies Christ at least is in a more honest situation. They know they are not believers and so should they ever worry about their sin they are more likely to flee to Christ then those who wrongly believe they are already there.

I do not think of people in terms of their faith, but as individuals and deal with them as such. It is a matter of mutual respect. As a christian I am required to love everyone; as such I cannot treat someone else badly simply because they have different beliefs than mine. I also believe that all men are creations of God and that He loves them no matter what. So why would I want to treat them any differently? I wish every christian would do the same and we wouldn't have to even answer this question so often.

My problem isn't with atheists in general, it's with the hatemongering ones who hang out in this area. The constant insults get old and boring. We have to sift thru tons of stupid crank insults from them just to find a sincere question. So the ones who aren't trolls or rabid hatemongers, I have no problem with. I do think the rabid ones who hang out here have severe emotional problems or they wouldn't spend all their time in the religion/spiritual section, they'd go somewhere that had some interest for them. I don't hang out in the craft area, because I have no interest in it.
I've heard the excuse, "we want to educate you", but what they're basically doing is accusing us of trying to convert them, when its really them trying to unconvert us. They fail to see this though.
Don't get me wrong, I also get angry with the "you're going to hell" christians too, who for some reason believe they're Jesus so get the job as judge that was given to Him. So basically, it's just ignorance regardless of which type of rabid nutcase you're dealing with at the time.

I will tell you what I think about Atheists, and I am a Christian. I think a Atheists is someone that has made up his or her own mind there is no God, and I agree that they can believe anything they want to, I personally feel sorry for them and I know God still loves them, but at the White Throne Judgment when they face God I promise you this they will change there minds, but it will be to late! But we still love them and pray for them and hope there blinded eyes will be opened. See you there.

I respect those of you who are tolerant and who feel no need to constantly insult and mock Christians. There are some very intelligent atheists here who can be counted on for challenging and interesting questions.
As for those who constantly harass us with insults and ridiculous questions, I'm afraid I have no respect for them at all. If you want me to be tolerant and open-minded, extend the same courtesy to me.

As a Catholic I really cannot pass judgement on a whole group of people.
Though I think that the religion itself is a way to take the easy route in life.
I can say this, I've yet to meet an intelligent, tolerant, and loving Atheist.
I just want Atheists to admit that if God exists then they shouldn't expect any love or forgiveness after denying a God they know could exist. I'm really sick of Christians telling them that God will forgive them and love them anyways... it's simply not the case, they have no right to say that He will when the Bible says otherwise.

Why, are you so different to anyone else? I have a belief, you have a belief. My issue is with people attacking others, & this is not just athiests. But if you ask an opinion please don't ridicule me for my answer, I answer questions honestly.

We think that some don't know how to spell "atheist".
If one more person quotes Paul, I am going to go on a hunger strike here in the Zoo where I live.
Do most Christians on this chat group simply not care that "Jesus braved this dangerous world and "lived" for us, too"?
Only Paul talks about Jesus' death as Jesus' purpose.
Jesus himself told a completely different reason why he came to Earth.
Now, does that answer your question; by example.
