You really did the right thing. Pot IS a dangerous substance. Don't use it, and don't tolerate it. Talk your parents or your guidance counselor at school.

First ask your friend why he feels the needs to smoke pot. Second, if your friends pot smoking depresses you then maybe he's not your friend but a nobody who you like being in the company of. Thirdly, if I didn't smoke pot I wouldn't want to be
associated with the likes of brain dead people. Finally, remember the many pot commercials on television these days "this is your brain ;C) this is your brain on pot :C(
The question is: Is your brain on pot???

Celebrate!
You saw the truth, believed it to be unhealthy / unacceptable, made a decision and stuck to it. Do the happy dance. Not too many are out there are strong enough to stand up for themselves. You did! So, if that means a little depression now- that's minor. You will be that much stronger in a short time. You trust friends, love them and want the best for them- but you can't do it FOR THEM. If you feel your friend is toxic to you, then what you did was the right thing. Sometimes you just have to let people go who try to bring you down.

u did the right thing! pot can ruin ur life, but u shud get ur ex-bf help so u don't let him ruin his life. that's wut real friends do, even if he is an exfriend. ur guidance counsler wud b the place 2 go. parents might complicate the problem by demanding 2 no wut the hell u were doing w/ a pothead. i totally no wut ur going thro, that happened 2 me. my friend's in rehab and is getting out soon. he'll thank u 1 day, mine already is!

You are mean. Maybe he has glaucoma or something and you leaving is making it harder on him.
