I have seen profiles that make me suspicious because they are unbelievable, such as one having a pic of an attractive woman who says she's a model making big bucks and wants a man of any age and doesn't care what he looks like. I've seen others that make me suspect some kind of scam, but here's my question:

What kind of scam are some people out to cook when they post bogus profiles on online dating sites????

I see the same thing. I look at other women's profiles just to see what my competition is and I can't believe what I see. I am rejected because I dont have a college degree, or don't have an important enough job , and such but I look at these women's profiles and they are all attractive, don't look their ages, in shape, have college degrees, and make alot of money. I saw one that was a doctor and had a jaguar car and a great figure (huge chest that made her look for like a stripper than a doctor, as I think having so much plastic surgery would make it hard to perform operations on her patients. Funny thing is she has been on there for months just like me. And so many of the men seem to make 100K+ yet after talking to them and meeting them, I don't see it as I find out they live in small apartments, drive old cars, and have terrible teeth. If they are making so much money, why can't they go to a dentist.

There are several. One is simply to get the person's email address so you can sell it to the spammers. Another possibility is that it's a porno site looking for customers. Or it could be prostitutes looking for customers, though that's less likely.

You're 99.9% being fooled.
Best advice, get off the internet and go in person to find someone.
I know a lot of people can make it work.. but.. with distance and tons of people lying on the internet........ no.
