my husband gets pimples on the back of his neck after haircut?

what can i do to help him out his doc gave him a prescription roll on medication but it doenst do much. i know its from his hair tryin to grow back but why does it only happen on the bottom and nowhere else?? ive tried alot of stuff the bump gaurd and just rubbing alcohol nothing seems to help and i cant help but pop them some get huge. even though i know im not suppose to. any advice??? thank you

well normally he goes to his sisters for a haircut which i hate cuz i dont think she sanitizes her products. He has gone to a barber but the problem is still there. i know they are infected hair folicles when i look at them or "mess" with them i usually pull out a few hairs at a time out of the same pimple.

Sounds like your husband might benefit from some antibiotic therapy to get the staph bacteria under control. Also be his barber is aware of this problem. Do not use alcohol on acne as this is way to drying and harsh to be using. Have him wash well with soap and water when he gets home from a haircut and remind him to use soap and warm water at least daily to this area to help keep the dirt and bacteria under control.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.

Are they pimples or ingrown hairs?
If ingrown hairs there are a number of products to use. You can actually use tweezers (or your nails) to get the growing hair out of the little lump.
If they're pimples it may be a reaction to something the barber is using.

Could be a bacteria infection.......If it only happends after he gets a Hair cut, the barbers clippers, combs, or brushes may not have been cleaned, clippers are dull, or he is getting cut too close. Tell your hubby to wash his hair and neck after he gets a hair cut and see if that helps. But to get to the root of the problem I recommend going to the dermatologist.

My Husband has the same problem. Have him use a loofah on his neck to open the pores. Scrub it really well. This needs to be done every time he showers.

Then use something like Neosporin overnight to heal the worst ones.
