I've heard this expression a lot, but I don't know exactly what it means. I've heard that it has something to do with looking for Mr. Right but what does Mr. Right have to do with Mr. Goodbar?

It was a movie. A none-too-subtle cautionary tale about the dangers of living a hedonistic nightlife masked by a legitimate daylife.

It was a 1977 psychological thriller film starring Richard Gere and Diane Keaton. Never saw it but was he a stalker or something.
