what is the total wealth of the Catholic Church? Is it the single richest institution in history.

The Vatican is worth Trillions of dollars. TRILLIONS. (This is verifiable) - which officially makes them the wealthiest crime cartel on the planet. Jesus - I'm guessing - would not be pleased.

It is certainly in the 1st world country category.

Eye of the needle, though, would apply to most American Christian cultists, Roman and Protestant, ordained and not.

If anything the personal wealth of megapreachers dwarfs the real personal wealth of Catholic priests. It's sort of like comparing Bill Gates to the Queen of England.

The Vatican is worth a fortune that many of us wouldn't imagine. I think is sad that they don't donate most of these money to charities. Jesus lived a modest life, why doesn't the Pope do that too?
