you can opt to have a group cremation, you don't get any ashes back but you can do an online or real memorial; or you can do a private cremation and get the remains then bury or memorialize them as you wish. i don't think a vet can release an animals intact body after euthanizing the pet.
AH! Nevermind, I re-read the question, you said anesthetize, which is just temporary sleep during an operation, so after that they get the operation, and will be groggy for awhile after they wake up. Yikes, sorry!

If I'm reading your question right, I think you're talking about what happens after the dog comes around? They will be very lethargic for a while, probably sleep for the rest of the day and night then be pretty much back to normal. However, if the dog has been put out with a narcotic (used instead for op's on things like the heart) the dog may seem distressed, laboured breathing and just not with it at all. This hap pend to my Bloodhound after heart surgery and it scared the heck out of me for hours.

probably the dog will have trouble walking and dont let it go on any high place because it will eventually have to jump ioff and it wont be able to stick the landing just rap it in something warm like a blanket until it starts acting normal.Hope the dog turns out to be ok!

Do you mean euthanized dogs?
If you don't pay for private cremation, they put all euthanized animals in a deep freeze, and have them all picked up once a week and they're all cremated together.

Do you mean anthesitize? If so it would be how you feel before a surgery.
