Hi,
The thing just exploded this evening, after bunging in eggs, for the amusement of the kids.
Well, they go pop with faces drawn on them, but now the machine has given up the ghost, and retired in a final manner.
I suppose it is technically " knackered"
But is the situation retrievable ?

All humourous help gratefully received.

Bob.

You obviously didn't read the recipe properly - "microwave egg bombs" should have 10 secs on half power, followed by 5 mins on full power. Try to fix microwave by submersing it in a bath of tepid water, dry it thoroughly with a flame thrower, then bake it at gas mk 10 for four hours. that should do it.

what ever brand oven it is uit can be repaired you need to contact the manufacturer for an approved service engineer in your area. either take it in or have them come out.
but in the end it may be cheaper to buy a new oven and scrap the one you tried to use as abomb!
what were you thinking?
your kids could have been hurt if things had gone wrong. well more than they already did.
and remeber if you need a new oven better to buy new direct from the maker often cheaper to do than to pay inflated retail prices. (speaking here after a combination microwave i had gave up the chost on the combination side of the oven though the microwave side still worked it was time to get new rather than pay for it to be serviced.
three years is a good run for an oven. and in my case cheaper to buy from sharp.co.uk £180 for my oven.
are you sure it is dead?
has the microave shield card been damaged?
try just unplugging the oven
now find a screw driver and open up the housing.
now see if any of the egg or shells has gotten on any of the circuits, if so try cleaning them a fuse may have blown so try that as well.
on the cooking cavity try cleaning that properly make sure there is nothing that could be causing a problem.

why were you attempting to mimic the TV show "Brainic Sciance Abuse" by blowing up your oven? you know they say do not try this at home.
why do you think they tell you that? it is because ovens are expensive and unless you have cash to burn you do not waste money on that kind of thing. leave it to the experts.
next time send your idea to info@brainic.net (i think look it up online) let them blow up an oven or two so you don't have to.
and so yor wife does not give you earache for blowing up the oven.

Never mind the microwave, are the eggs ok? And did the kids laugh more at the demise of the eggs or microwave?
