I think fruits ended up the colors they did because of the environment they grow in and the animals/bugs that need to live off them. some colors are easier than others for some animals to see.

Some fruit wants to be eaten. This way it is ingested by an animal and planted in the ground elsewhere for survival once it has fully gone through the digestive cycle.

Maybe strawberries want to be seen so that birds can eat them and then poop out the seeds all over the place so that more strawberries can grow in other places.
