Yes the flu can cause weight loss from eating less and from not drinking enough liquids. The eating part usually isn't a problem but not drinking enough liquids can actually prolong the symptoms of the flu. So drink lots if your sick to get better sooner. Good Luck>

If you're not eating as much because you feel yucky, then of course weight loss will occur. Unfortunately though it's usually just temporary and as soon as you feel better the weight will come back because you'll be back to eating normally.

Yes, you can lose weight if you have the flu, however, if it is more than a pound or two and you continue to lose, you should see your doctor. Better safe than sorry.

Yes. Flu cause you to lose appetite. Your gut might not absorb as well either plus your body needs more protein to fight the infection.
