They can be excellent though often dirty, wear old clothes. Some have all parts dismantled and computer listed. Local one in hereford also does MOTs. As they would otfen have cars in the yard which have had new parts but subsequently failed due to rust or accident damage, you could be quids in. We recently needed a pair of bonnet catches for a Laguna cost £5 Renault price £105.
