When you're in a world that looks at you with such contempt, it helps to gather with people of like minds, share inspiration, and to just recharge and worship the Lord. Remember, you live in a world that accepts you and thinks like you....Believers are aliens in this world, and are constantly being made fun of, mocked, and attacked....

Because here on earth we are still "practising".
We have a chance at church for fellowship (koinonia) and a chance to worship the Lord as well as learning more and hearing the Word of the Lord through our pastor/minister. It's a joyful time. I love going to church.

Church has more than one purpose. Its main function is to spiritually "feed" those who are going to heaven. If you are not going to heaven anyway, then practicing religion would not help. Only those who are born again will go to heaven, with very few exceptions. If heaven is what you want, then try to find out what born again means. If you are truly born again, you will desire church. I know there are some churches that are wrong-if you are born again-you will know if it is wrong.

You don't go to church to get in good with God and go to heaven. You go to church for other reasons, including to learn about God, to learn about yourself, to communicate with God, to be an example for others and let others be an example for you, and etc etc. You don't "practice a religion" to get in good with God. If you're "practicing a religion" by simply going through the motions without realizing why you doing it and it's not affecting you then you're not really practicing a religion and you might as well stop.

Alright I don't want to impose my religion on you, so I will conduct this under a non-biased standpoint. As long as you have a clean soul, you can enter heaven. The difficulty of course is having a clean soul. Church teaches you how to do that

It does seem pointless to Go to church if you have no guarantee of going to Heaven. That being stated, religion is worthless--a relationship with God through His son Jesus is vital.Belief in Him is the ONLY thing that will guarantee Heaven.

Whatever you hear, look, smell, touch or read it gives you some kind of impact on your brain and body. When you go to church/temple or a mosque if the preacher is teaching spirituality your brain is blocked from external world and think about greatness of the saints who gave us bright thinking to live our life.
It also teaches us how to behave in difficult situation.
When you think good about others your heart fills with peace and when you gets angry you feel uneasy feelings. That is a practical way to feel heaven and hell

To be better educated. If you truely believe in God, and your church is where you have learned the basics of how your religion works, then it's simply to have a better understanding of your God, his history, his promises to you, his requests of you, etc... If you truely believe in a God and a heaven, wouldn't you want to know as much as you possibly can to be closer to that Entity? Spirituality (not religion) is the desire to learn and grow in what ever faith you have - Religion is the rules/guidelines/etc that humans created to feel like they were spiritual - Sometimes those structures, boundries, make people feel more in control, more secure. Just like children and boundries.

This life is only a test. This life is only a test. This life is only a test. If it were an actual life you would have been told where to go and what to do. Remember, this life is only a test. So, find a church develop intimacy join fellowship get in relationship and become accountable to others seeking God. In preperation for the life hereafter.

I go to the church building for worship. This is a time where we can come together corporately and praise our Lord. Here's a good worship song:
You Are My King

I consider "church" my time with my small Bible study group. It is this time that we can pray for each other and learn more about God's word. It's more personal than the worship session.
