No. The number of exemptions determines at what tax rate you are charged. When you do your taxes for the year it should all wash out.

If you get a large amount of money refunded to you then you might consider adding more exemptions with your employer.

if you claimed both yourself and your daughter as your dependents then yes, you are not your own dependent. Your daughter would be your only dependent if it is just the two of you.
