About 1 hour from Bristol Temple Meads to Exeter St Davids on a fast train - longer on an all stations stopper

You could catch the following:
Virgin Trains, which takes 59 minutes (on a good day)

Bristol Parkway 12:25 (Departs) (I inculded Bristol Parkway as I did not know where in Bristol you are traveling from)
Bristol Temple Meads 12:41(Arrives) 12:44(Departs)
Taunton 13:15 (Arrives) 13:17 (Departs)
Tiverton Parkway 13:28 (Arrives) 13:29 (Departs)
Exeter St Davids 13:43(Arrives) 13:45 (Departs)

Hi, I think your boyfriend is trying to tell you he wants to try it alone - and that you should let him. He is obviously thinking about Uni life and what it will bring - he may decide after being there that he has made a big mistake but let him make that decision rather than you forcing yourself upon him. Cut him loose and wait for him to come back - if he does - if not then you know you weren't right in the first place.
