You need to contact the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) www.naeyc.org
and find out what schools they recommend in Northern CA for such special needs children.

There are a lot of Bright Horizons schools in the Bay Area and they are often equipped to handle children who need special attention.

I work in a co-op preschool in Contra Costa County. The parents are required to work at the school a couple times a month. The great part for you would be that there are so many adults working at the school each day. Also you get to be a part of his education and you end up making a lot of great friends.
