Hi all. I am currently in a heartbreaking situation. Here is the deal: About a year and a half ago I met my first love in college. For a year we were together. She was the best thing to ever happen to me. She loved me more than anything on the planet, however I became unsure. I was with her and all my friends were single and in college. I became uncertain, and she let me go(she really loved me). She basically said that I needed to experience other things, and she would wait. Well time went on (broke up 7 months ago), and she finally met some other dude (she said she couldnt wait forever). The thing is, I realize I want her back (and no it is not because of the new guy). I believe she still loves me very much, more than her new guy. Actually she said she doesnt even love him yet(they have been together like 2 months). My question is: will she foget about me? Or will she always remember the love she felt towards me? Thanks for any help.

Also, I think part of the reason we split was just bad timing. I dont think I was necessarily ready for a commitiment at the time. Actually at the time I didnt even know what a commitiment meant. I believe I have learned alot in our time apart.

hey, i know this is gonna sound weird but im kind of in your situation but the circumstances of me and my boyfriends break up was different. but that is besides the point, and yes she still loves you, when you REALLY love someone the love doesn't fade out or go away magically, it takes a LONG time to heal your heart and if its really real, honest, pure and sincere, she will never ever forget you and you will always remain in her heart no matter where she goes and let me give you a piece of advice, if you still love this girl, GO FOR IT, don't let it go, fight with all your heart and soul, if you know in your heart she is it, then try as much as possible, tell her how you feel, don't wait it out or anything, do what your heart tells you too, follow it and it won't lead you astray and in case things wouldn't work out, then at least you would know that you tried and if things do then thats great and God Bless, but the point is you gotta make things happen, and if its meant to be, it will be, but giving it your all without any regrets won't hurt either, because whichever the outcome may be, you did it. God Bless and I hope with all my heart you get her back.. <3

The obvious answer is that yes love fades. You will always remember loving a certain person, but you will learn to move on to other people. It's good you realized all this and perhaps it's not too late. You should talking to her about how you feel. DEFINITLY let her know you are sorry for you guys breaking apart. It's never an excuse that your friends are single and you aren't.

Your first love is always the hardest one. As you get older you will find that you will be in a few relationships before you settle down forever. You will learn many things from these relationships and people that you need. They are not for naught. Enjoy them but move on when they are over.

girls don't forget people. especially ones she loved. of course she still remembers it. and she probably still feels it. she just couldn't wait anymore. you should confront her about it. and if she says that it's not the right timing now, its your turn to wait. if you love her you will.
