Know nothing about DVD players, got recordable one for Christmas. Managing fine but have been recording and erasing on the same disc. Is there away of knowing when it has been used too many times. Hope u can help and this posting in the right section.

A good quality DVD-RW or DVD+RW disc should be good for about 2,000 re-recordings (or about 5 years, if you record on it every day).

commercial DVD's use pits stamped into the metal. abode burned DVD's use a laser to create the deformation contained in the metal. that does no longer mean that they received't very last as lengthy if cared for correct.

it will decrease over many years depending on the quality of the disc but for a while, you should be fine

HI THERE IT WILL LAST FOR REALY AGES MY SON DOES ALL THE TIME AS HE IS A DJ PS IF YOU ARE IN UK YOU ARE BETTER BUYING NORMAL DVD FOR RECORDING ON THEN YOU DONT HAVE TO KEEP CLEARING OFF
