Four shades lighter than my natural hair colour (brown) and 6 packets (?) apparently it will just show through my layers. Will it be a huge difference? I haven't dyed my hair before.

What are your thoughts? I don't want it to make a huge difference, and I also don't want the roots showing so I'm having it done underneath. Will it be solid colour showing through, or just highlights when I move my head and stuff? (I'm so worried!)

I meant under the parting....my hairdresser calls it under the roots, because I said I didn't want roots showing. Sorry :-@

Highlights just UNDER the roots - so your going for internal scalp colouring?

Errrrm, do you really mean just 'under' the roots? If so, no they won't show at all, and you will probably be dead, so you won't be worrying about it.

if you mean just under your parting then they will be quite subtle.
