My son is almost two and he has the most beautiful curly hair. I haven't ever cut it. If you stretch out the curl it reaches his back, but left alone it looks a bit shorter. I want a haircut that will leave that length but get it out of his face. I don't want to just give him bangs because then he'll look like a girl. And I really don't want him to have mullet. Any ideas?

my hair is not as curly, but what I do is let it grow long on the sides so there's no mullet
you might have to cut the back a few times before the sides get even

Go to a salon or barber shop and ask for a trim. If the shape of his hair is fine now, dont make it worse, just make it a little shorter
